Privacy Notice

This notice explains what information may be collected when someone visits the Evangeline Parish records guide, why it is used, and when another party may receive it. By continuing to use the site, a visitor accepts the practices described below.

Information You Submit

A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party company that operates that tool. This site does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms govern its handling of a query.

If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share those messages outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal order.

Technical Data And Cookies

Ordinary server, analytics, and browser technologies may collect technical facts when a page loads:

  • Internet Protocol address;
  • browser name and version;
  • device category and operating system;
  • pages viewed and time spent on them;
  • the referring page or site, when supplied; and
  • visit dates and timestamps.

Cookies help measure how visitors use the guide. Browser controls can refuse or delete cookies, although some functions may work differently when cookies are blocked.

Reasons We Use Data

Collected information is used for limited operating purposes:

  • to deliver pages and maintain site performance;
  • to send a search request to the selected partner;
  • to understand which Evangeline Parish resources visitors find useful;
  • to diagnose errors, abuse, and security problems; and
  • to display advertising that may reflect a visitor’s interests.

Links Beyond This Site

The guide links to EPSO rosters and records pages, Louisiana DPS&C resources, court and government portals, federal locators, local news, and outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s own privacy notice controls.

Some advertising companies may use their systems to measure activity across different sites and select interest-based ads. That cross-site processing takes place through those companies, not through an official Evangeline Parish records system.

When Data May Be Shared

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be handled by:

  • search partners that receive submitted queries;
  • analytics providers that measure site use;
  • advertising networks that deliver or measure ads; and
  • law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid subpoena, court order, or other lawful demand.

Louisiana public-record access, including La. R.S. 44:1 and its exceptions, concerns records held by public bodies. It does not convert private visitor data on this site into an EPSO or DPS&C record.

Security Is Best Effort

We use ordinary administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a public reference website. No internet transmission or connected storage system can be guaranteed breach-proof, so absolute security is not promised.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Depending on applicable law, a person may ask for a copy of personal data held by this site, request correction of inaccurate information, seek deletion, or object to certain processing. Requests can be sent through Contact Us. We may need enough information to confirm the requester’s identity and locate the relevant data.

Changes To This Notice

This privacy notice may be revised as site practices or legal requirements change. A revised version takes effect when it is posted here with an updated effective date.
